HART GLASSrose couture - redefining fine dining
ROSE COUTURE PERFUME
Blown by Elliot Walker, these four limited edition perfume bottles are the first of their kind. Petit versions of their larger sister decanters, the perfume girls are crowned with a posy of three roses, cast from hand-made ripple glass, creating swirling hues of dappled colour. The necks of the stoppers are created extra-long to dip into the vessel for a sensuous dab of perfume.
‘Rose Couture’ – Art With Purpose
by Laura Hart
Laura Hart’s new body of work, ‘Rose Couture’ revisits the glamour, individuality, and chic sophistication of the Art Deco period with her troupe of exquisite wine and spirit decanters.
Masterfully blown by Elliot Walker, the Chorus, Principal, and Diva decanters are crowned with Laura Hart’s cast glass rose bonnets. The elegant Chorus girls wear a single rose; the sinuously graceful Principals wear posies of three to five flowers whilst the spectacular Diva bouquets can incorporate a dozen or more blooms.
Attending each lady is a ‘Hat stand’; a cradle of cast roses into which their bonnets can safely rest, creating a stunning table centre whilst the decanter is in use, or as a complementary candle sconce.
Every decanter is named, signed by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
“Rose Couture is an evolutionary step in my work, embodying that which is missing by necessity in my fragile orchids and butterflies; the invitation to touch and interact. What I love most about my own original arts and crafts collections is that I use them every day; mirrors, lamps, jardinières, sconces, table and glassware, so I particularly wanted to create sculptural works that not only have form, beauty and texture, but also, delicious purpose.” Laura Hart
